Our Journey
Born amidst the challenges of 2020
Out of the Box Merch was conceived with a mission to help bands through custom merchandise, we first started out with a small badge machine, and started making badges for local Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scottish bands just before Covid-19 hit, and like many others we took a hit and had to postpone moving forward.
However this set back didn't hold us back, we continued to investing and learn and it wasn't until 2023 that we could fully realise our vision and share Out of the Box Merch with the world.
We are a small local business, that works hard, and we now make band merch for bands all over the UK, helping them get ready for tours, stocking their online stores or giving advice on what merch suits them best.
Some of the machines we use
We use a number of machine's and methods for making your merch, below is a few of them with some extra information.
Sublimation Printing
Sublimation printing is how we make a some items, we print your logos and images on to a special paper with out sublimation ink, and then use heat, pressure, and time to transfer dye onto different materials.
We use sublimation to make items such as Trucker Caps, Vinyl Slipmats, Beer Steins, Shot Glasses, Mugs and more.
If you're thinking of getting started with sublimation. We highly recommend starting with a bundle - an A3+ sized printer with paper and sublimation ink.
Vinyl Cutting
Out vinyl cutter is perfect for making decals and simple logos for things like Workwear, Caps, T-shirts, Hoodies and Signage for vehicles.
Sublimation Oven
Once we've printed your logos and images using our sublimation process, we can then use our 3d oven to transfer them on to your Mugs, Beer Steins and Shot Glasses.
Heat Presses
Our heat presses are used to press the sublimation images and heat transfer vinyl on to many items such as T-shirts, Hoodies and Air Fresheners to name a few, our presses are work horses and keep things running smoothly.
Badge Machines
These badge machines are not only used to make our Custom Badges but are also used to make Magnets, Pocket Mirrors and Magnetic Bottle Openers, they're great for band merchandise, promotional items or your own branding.
